The Uttarakhand kingdom, known as Dev-Bhoomi- the land of God, is a sacred state of India. All the Himalayan peaks are adorned with temples, large and small, with mythological legends attached to each of these temples. Dev-Bhoomi Uttarakhand is honored for such a miracle, to the point that you have to visit once. Girija Devi is the most famous temple in Uttarakhand. This is also a holy place also known as Garjiya Mandir in the local dialect. The Girija Devi Temple is located in Garjiya at a distance of 12 KM from RamNagar on Dika Road. It is a Shakti shrine sacred where Garjiya Devi is the deult god. This temple is built on a rock in the middle of the Kosi River and is visited by thousands of devotees each year.
